Where can I purchase Visscher products?

Our products are sold exclusively through our network of authorized dealers.

You can find an Authorized Visscher Dealer near you by using the store locator at the top of this page.

Can I customize my Visscher Structure?

Absolutely, you have the flexibility to customize your Visscher Structure by rearranging, replacing, or adding different components to suit your preferences.

For instance, you can enhance your structure by adding an extra Single Door or a Sliding Folding Door Kit.

Additionally, the Wall and Window Panels can be rearranged according to your liking. While we provide options for post-purchase customization, please note that we do not create custom-sized structures.

What is required to install a Visscher structure (i.e., time, tools)?

Each Visscher Structure comes with comprehensive step-by-step assembly instructions, fasteners, and drill bits necessary for the installation process.

The time needed to assemble a Visscher Structure may vary based on the model, with most fully enclosed structures typically requiring a full 8-hour workday for assembly. We recommend a team of at least two to three handy individuals to complete the installation.

Additional tools required for installation include a power drill, rubber mallet, tape measure, an 8-foot step ladder, utility knife, bubble level tool, and a set of screwdrivers depending on the model.

Do I need to anchor my Visscher Structure?

Yes, Visscher structures should be anchored to your wooden base or concrete pad to mitigate potential damage from environmental elements, particularly in high wind conditions.

Anchoring instructions are provided with all Visscher structures.

Will I require a building permit for my Visscher Structure?

Building code requirements vary between municipalities. Prior to your purchase, it’s essential for customers to be aware of any potential restrictions in their area. If your region mandates a building permit, you will need to visit a local building engineer.

Prior to visiting the engineer, you will need the following information:

  1. Detailed Product Drawings/Specifications of your Visscher Structure. For this documentation, please reach out to Visscher directly;
  2. Information on the Foundation or Base your Visscher Structure will be placed on;
  3. Your address
How are Visscher Structures constructed?

Visscher structures are built using standard construction practices.

When designing our structures, we start with the roof as we know that load needs to be transferred down to the bottom of the structure.

The structure has rafters which rest on full-length beams, spamming the length of the structure, in doing this, the load of the roof is now being transferred to the beams. Which is then transferred down to the solid core post assemblies and shear wall panels.

All Visscher structures come with a roof constructed from 29-gauge Galvalume steel. All steel roofs come with a 10-year limited warranty.

The walls of the structure are constructed in 40” increments, with features like bi-fold windows, full glass windows, and shear panels, each measuring 40” wide.

Shear wall panels play a crucial role in preventing structural “racking,” ensuring stability and strength. These panels are crafted from 24-gauge Galvalume steel, with a woodgrain design and bent into a board and batten profile.

How much maintenance is required for my Visscher Structure?

Visscher structures are designed for minimal maintenance. The materials used to construct the structure include aluminum-framed tempered glass doors and windows, as well as 24-guage Galvalume woodgrain steel panels, all of which require little to no maintenance.

The only component requiring possible minor maintenance is the exposed wood components which are made from an SPF (Spruce-Pine-Fir) kiln dried timber.

If you wish to repaint your structure, do not sand the wood components. Sanding the wood components would damage the product and remove the striation process. Just repaint over the existing product using a paint brush or roller.

What kind of base or foundation can Visscher Structures be placed on?

When selecting your foundation type, consider the size and weight of your structure. Our general recommendation for all structures is a concrete slab, although a wood foundation using pressure-treated wood is also a viable option.

How long is the warranty on a Visscher structure?

Each Visscher Structure comes with the following warranties:

  • Limited 1-Year Warranty on the Structure
  • Limited 3-Year Structural Warranty for Structural Wood Components of Roofed Structure
  • Limited 10-Year Roof Warranty on Metal Roof Panels
Can I buy replacement parts for a structure I currently own?

In most cases, yes. We do carry parts for all current models and some discontinued models.

Please visit your Authorized Visscher Dealer for pricing and availability.

Please make note of the serial number of your structure as it will be required by Visscher.

Where do I find my serial number?

You will find the serial number on a plaque found on a truss frame piece or a skylight frame piece.

Your Visscher enclosure is designed to last for many years of enjoyment.
